SPECIAL INTERESTS IN ANAESTHESIA
Anaesthesia for Spinal Surgery, Airway, and Ophthalmology. Resuscitation and Simulation.

BACKGROUND
Dr Pachchigar grew up in Vancouver, Canada and studied at the University of British Columbia where he obtained his Bachelor of Science degree (Minor Commerce) in 2003. He then moved to Adelaide where he completed his graduate medical training at Flinders University of South Australia in 2007. Moving to Brisbane in 2009 he continued to complete a dual fellowship in Intensive Care Medicine and Anaesthesia and currently holds a position within Qld Health.

As a Lecturer with the University of Queensland he is a teacher and mentor to doctors in training and medical students, as well as an interviewer for medical school entry. He also instructs at Advanced Life Support (ALS) courses run by the Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC). Within his current department, he is actively involved with Research and Quality Improvement and is also the lead for Environmental Sustainability in Anaesthesia.

Dr Pachchigar’s practice covers a diverse range of specialties and he is committed to providing safe, high quality, and compassionate care for all of his patients.

OTHER INTERESTS
Dr Pachchigar enjoys running and taking his 2 young sons on hikes around Brisbane. He can also be found in the garden polishing up his green thumb.
