BACKGROUND
Dr Pang completed his undergraduate medical training at the University of Queensland in 1998. Dr Pang is dual qualified in Intensive Care Medicine and Anaesthesia. He was awarded his Fellowship of the Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists (FANZCA) in 2007. Dr Pang is a senior staff specialist at the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital (RBWH), working in both the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and anaesthetic departments.

Dr Pang holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Critical Care Echocardiography, and performs perioperative transoesophageal and critical care echocardiography. Dr Pang is a passionate teacher of airway skills, resuscitation and echocardiography. He instructs echocardiography on the Focused Ultrasound Simulation Education (FUSE) course, which is held at the Centre for Excellence in Anaesthesia at the RBWH. He also an instructor for the Mater Critical Care Echocardiography course, which is held at the Mater Education Practice Improvement Centre and Simulation Centre.

Dr Pang has subspecialist interests in robotic urology and robotic general surgery, maxillofacial surgery, neurovascular neurosurgery and major joint orthopaedic surgery. Dr Pang has over nine years experience in major robotic surgery.

OTHER INTERESTS
Outside of consulting, Dr Pang enjoys fishing, the outdoors, skiing and travel.
