BACKGROUND
Dr Chatterjee completed a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Queensland in 2003. Her initial career was in research as a founding member of Brisbane’s first adult stem cell laboratory. She returned some years later to complete her medical degree at the University of Queensland in 2011 and has worked throughout Queensland in metropolitan, regional and remote centres to achieve a fellowship with the Australia and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists (FANZCA) with sub-specialities in Paediatric and Obstetric Anaesthesia.

Dr Chatterjee continues her work with the University of Queensland as an associate lecturer and interviewer for medical students. She is involved in research and quality improvement in the hospitals at which she provides her service, and is a mentor to training doctors and medical students.

Dr Chatterjee works in both the public and private sector to provide a wide range of anaesthesia for most surgical specialties while ensuring each patient receives a safe, high quality and compassionate anaesthetic experience.

OTHER INTERESTS
In her spare time Dr Chatterjee enjoys spending time with her young family, competing in triathlons, skiing, travel and road cycling.
