Anaesthesia for Ophthalmic Surgery, Endocrine Surgery, Robotic Surgery. Regional Anaesthesia and Ultrasound. Perioperative Medicine.
BACKGROUND
Dr Healy completed her undergraduate medical degree at the University of Queensland in 1996. She was a trainee in Anaesthesia between 1999 and 2004 at the Princess Alexandra Hospital, Mater Hospitals, Gold Coast Hospital and Cairns Base Hospital. Dr Healy was awarded the Renton and Cecil Gray prizes for both the Primary and Final examinations for achieving the highest marks in Australia and New Zealand. She was also awarded the Tess Crammond Prize for Research in her final year of training. After gaining her Fellowship of the Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists (FANZCA) in 2005, Dr Healy completed 6 months of subspecialty paediatric anaesthesia training at the Women’s and Children’s Hospital in Adelaide.
Dr Healy currently works in private practice and has a public Visiting Medical Officer appointment at the Princess Alexandra Hospital.
OTHER INTERESTS
Dr Healy spends her spare time with her husband and 3 children, and tries to squeeze in some training for the next triathlon.
